MR-Spectroscopy originates from chemistry and biochemistry, where it is know as noninvasive analysis tool for centuries. Nowadays while MRS is available on clinical MR-scanners, it emerged in the field of clinical research as powerful tool as well. Applications are widely spread in neuro science, psychiatry and in any other metabolic problems. MRS is most helpful for therapeutic monitoring of metabolism during drug and other treatments.
